Jay’s epic Kenshin wall totally put me in the mindset for moar Kenshin desktopage, since he was one of my first loves too 
I’ve always loved the nishiki-e styled covers that Nobuhiro Watsuki drew, and I wanted to play with Illustrator’s default brushes. So I picked one of the most bad-ass Kenshin nishike-e images I could find and voila! Stroking with Illustrator’s calligraphic brushes is AWESOME. Definitely going to try this again for another wall!
Kenshin vector-stroked off this manga page; calligraphy text and stamp vectored from this scan that I got off MT way back when, but seems to have disappeared since. Used one of MouritsaDA-Stock’s fantastic floral brushes again for the background (same brush that I used for the Haku wall, incidentally) and slapped on a texture from Flickr to round this wall off.

the only problem I have with this wall is that its 77 walls late to be my 9000th wall, I wanted it to be either you or jade but alas the best ones take time I guess…

To be honest, most people react with a “???” when I show them what Iv collected over the years, most common question being “why so many, you cant possibly use them all” , its just a hobby I adopted over the years when I found out there was an amazing community of talented people doing what you guys do. I only regret that Nat from Ningen isnt very active anymore and that InstantNoodles isnt here anymore also I wait patiently for something new from Gideon and Tate, thankfully you and Jade are still active and I keep seeing some really good new artists on MT. Just to be clear Im not using them for anything devious, like when I saw that facebook post of Jade’s that someone was removing the signature off walls and selling them on e-bay, which really dumbfounded me when I saw, tis just my personal hobby that I hope to keep going as long as possible.
