Song for Siren
New wall. Lineart done by the awesomely talented Evol, face/skin shading by Gids, and the rest by me. There's been lots of stuff falling on my plate recently but some of it is working itself out, which is a relief. Still, life/work will be busy for a while :/ I've signed up for Gid's Pool Party though, and you should too if you haven't already :3
+1 Blog Entry: Kamichu! (DVDs 1 - 4)
I finally finished watching Kamichu! DVDs 1-4, courtesy of Netflix
(which I love xD). There were quite a few things I liked about the
series and some things that I didn’t, but overall I got what I wanted -
something soothing and sweet. Think Spirited Away meets Aria in a small
Japanese riverside town.

I'll be going on a what feels like a long overdue vacation middle of next week though so I'm definitely really looking forward to that :D
+1 Blog Entry: Vampire Knight (01 - 03)
Vampire Knight for me was one of those inexplicable series where I lost patience with the manga, but fell heads over heels in love with the anime. I was perusing the manga section at Borders a little while back and decided to flip through the first volume, but I couldn’t get very far into it at all. It might have been a combination of the heavily stylized artwork (which usually doesn’t phase me; in fact one of the reasons why I checked it out was because I really admire the character design for the series), typical plot intro, or maybe just because I was in a rush for time and found the reading more tedious than I was in the mood for. However I did think with a fair amount of certainty that I’ll probably love this as an anime. So when I heard Vampire Knight was being released this spring I was really excited to see if my hunch proved itself right. And happily it did - the first episode made me go, “THIS is why I love shoujo!!”

In Other Site News...
I made a couple of changes to the site, mostly due to crap's retirement from the site. The customization section is gone, since I'm not familiar with the process of desktop iconage and can't really contribute to that section in the foreseeable future. I also deleted crap's old blog, that being one of the things he specifically asked for, and added a new blog for me - Note to Self. It might seem weird since I have one here already, but this "second" blog should be more like the average write-and-post blogs than Conceptual Port, which will continue to be an extended gallery. That's it for now - more later :]
